DIY #3 Frequency Slide ;-)
While trying to improve the acoustics in my room I came across a very useful video
At about 10:00 into the video Rob recommends to add something on top of the desk that acts like a tilt.
This kind of slant directs reflections lower so they don't bounce from the desk direktly to your ears.
In the video, Rob uses a piece of wood but I didn't like the idea
but found these laptop-stands.
They look very plastic-ish with the shiny surface...
...but much better when covered with black self-adhesive felt!
Now each is placed below the monitors and besides of
(hopefully ;-) making unnecessary frequences slide away they work great to place a notebook or other stuff there.
